I tend to find that most couples during the first part of their engagement session are full of nerves. Most haven’t had professional photographs taken since senior photos. To be honest, I am not one to like being in front of the camera as much as I love being behind. I could then just imagine how nervous my couples are, especially ones I met for the first time in person at their engagement session.
Meet Kim & Adam, a sweet down-to-earth couple who call Mankato their home. Born and raised in Mankato, Kim is a nurse at the hospital. One drowns in her kind demeanor & her locks of long blonde hair [so totally jealous]. Adam is from a small town by Austin, MN… WAY to the south in Minnesota by the Iowa border. He is a wholesome guy who loves to hunt. Together the percolation of their love is radiant.
Back in January, I spoke with Kim over the phone. Being that they lived couple hours away we didn’t get a chance to meet in person. Between the emails, phone calls, texts & friending on Facebook, I felt I had known Kim for years.
We went on our way around Lake Minnetonka. They opted for a nature like session that was preferably by a lake. You see, they got engaged at his parent’s lake cabin up north. It was quite actually pretty romantic & amazing. [Guys, take notes]. One weekend, they had a group of family & friends to the cabin. He had kept the secret locked away from everyone that he was going to ask Kim to be his wife. How he managed to pull off the best & slyest engagement ever, no one will know. Take a look at the last photo [I took it from Kim’s Facebook]… I mean let’s be honest… this is pretty amazing. Kim, you are one lucky girl and Adam, you are one lucky guy!
I opted to save the lake for the last part of the engagement session for sunset photos. By that time, the nerves were shaken out of their toes & their butterflies disappeared. They ended the night at Sebastian Joe’s ice cream shop by the beach in Excelsior. If it’s three things they both like it’s hunting, biking & ice cream!
I am so incredibly excited for their August wedding at the Horse & Hunt Club in Prior Lake. We are close to one month away! Much love to the both of you!
…see…long gorgeous blonde hair.
AND this is what I’m talking about! Adam, you rock. Seriously.
