There are often months between when a Client books a wedding & when the wedding actually happens. Being that booking a photographer is the one of the top three things you do first when starting to plan along side choosing a venue & ceremony site – I like to create an authentic & sweet experience for my Clients not only at the wedding, but leading up to.
I know doing these small gestures of sweetness, is what I would want from my wedding photographer if I were in their shoes. It’s a nice surprise at the end of a long day to come home to an unexpected package that you get to open like it’s Christmas morning. They are small ‘thank yous’ for allowing me the honor to document their biggest day. My Clients have a special place in my heart.
Being that I’m on this “crafting” kick, in which I think about constantly everyday of what I’m going to create next – I wanted to put it to good use & make homemade gifts. Thank you Pinterest for this fabulous idea of “Date Night” mason jars. Each of my couples came home to these last night. There’s about 15 different Date Night ideas on popsicle sticks in which each week they are to draw one & commit to doing that activity for the night. In between all the wedding planning & the hustle of every day life, they need a break to just enjoy themselves having a couple laughs.
From roller skating & bowling, to playing board games & making homemade pizza together…these are just a few of the 15 Date Night ideas. I have to say, I might just make another one for Andy & I they are just so cute! Oh, & the best part? They each got a mustache…
